Background
I graduated from Michigan State University with dual degrees in Math and Physics. During my junior year, I had a change of heart about pursuing research full-time. While working on a math research project with one of my professors, I realized that although I enjoyed the collaboration and the challenge, I couldn't picture spending my career making tiny adjustments to a formula or theorem until it was just right. I wanted to put my quantitative skills to work without spending my nights banging my head against a chalkboard.
As I explored different career paths, mentors and advisors consistently pointed me toward the financial industry. What ultimately drew me to financial planning, rather than quantitative trading or investment banking, was the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. I wanted a career where I could use analytical thinking to help people gain confidence and clarity about their financial future.
While I'm just beginning my career in financial planning, I'm excited to learn something new every day, continue growing as an advisor, and build the knowledge and relationships that allow clients to feel confident they have someone they can depend on.
