Philosophy on Financial Planning

Money touches nearly every part of our lives, from everyday decisions to major transitions and long-term goals. Yet many people are never taught how to truly understand or feel confident using their money. I believe financial planning matters at every stage of life because understanding your finances may bring clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.

I see money as a tool, and my goal is to help clients use it in a way that supports the life they want to live. Financial planning should never feel confusing or intimidating. My focus is on making it clear and approachable by helping clients understand where their money is going, how their accounts work together, and what their plan means for both today and the future. We talk through saving, investing, retirement, and taxes in plain language, so nothing feels overwhelming or unclear.

I am deeply passionate about financial education and believe everyone deserves access to it. By educating alongside planning, I help clients build lasting understanding and confidence, empowering them to make thoughtful financial decisions with a sense of calm and lasting peace of mind.

A Quote on my Desk

“It is never too late to be what you might have been.” - Mary Ann Evans (George Eliot)

You might bump into me…

At home doing a Pilates or yoga class, savoring a quiet coffee with a good book, planning trips with my husband centered around food and wine, cuddling with our puppy Winnie, or spending time with family and friends around a home-cooked meal. My husband and I love to host and try new recipes, so there is almost always something happening in the kitchen.

Background

I bring a thoughtful, analytical, and relationship-driven approach to financial planning. My background includes experience in fund accounting, investment analysis, retirement planning, and client relationship management across both large financial institutions and boutique advisory firms.

Over time, I found myself most fulfilled by the human side of finance: guiding clients through decisions that impact their families, futures, and sense of security. At Pearl Planning, I work closely with clients to develop personalized strategies that integrate investments, tax awareness, and long-term planning, always with a focus on education and empowerment.
